Ways to Read My Books โ€” For Free or Outside of Amazon

Hey friend! I wanted to take a moment to share something I don’t talk about nearly enough โ€” all the different ways you can read my books, including some that are completely free!

I know not everyone shops on Amazon, and honestly? That’s wonderful. My books are available across a wide range of platforms so that no matter where you like to read, you can find your next dragon-filled, time-bending, hope-soaked adventure. ๐Ÿ‰โš”๏ธ

Let’s break it down!

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Read for Free โ€” Borrow from Your Library!

This is my absolute favorite option to share, because I grew up borrowing books from my library and (as a former librarian) I want reading to be accessible to everyone.

My ebooks are available through several library platforms, so there’s a good chance your local library already has them! Look me up โ€” L. L. Nelson โ€” in any of these apps:

  • ๐Ÿ“– Libby / OverDrive (the most popular library app!)
  • ๐Ÿ“š Hoopla
  • ๐Ÿ“— CloudLibrary
  • ๐Ÿ“˜ Palace Library
  • ๐Ÿ“™ BorrowBox (great for UK, Ireland, and Australia!)

Not sure if your library uses one of these? Most library websites will tell you which apps they support. And if your library has ebooks but doesn’t carry my books yet, you can request them โ€” libraries love patron requests and it’s usually super easy to do!

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: If your local library doesn’t offer ebook lending, some larger library systems allow non-resident library cards for a small annual fee. This handy site lists libraries with non-resident borrowing privileges.

๐Ÿ’ณ Subscribe & Read โ€” Kobo Plus

If you’re a big reader and love a good subscription service (think Netflix, but for books!), Kobo Plus is a great option. My books are available there, and you don’t even need a Kobo device โ€” the free Kobo app works right on your phone, tablet, or computer.

๐Ÿ›’ Buy from Your Favorite Retailer

๐Ÿ”— How to Find a Specific Book

Each of my titles has its own universal book link that will take you straight to your preferred store. Head to my Books page to find the right link for whichever title catches your eye โ€” whether that’s The Lohikรคrran Chronicles, The Tempus Viatores series, Legends of Lohikรคrra, or anything else!

You can also use Books2Read links, like this one for Heir of Svartรฅn:
๐Ÿ‘‰ books2read.com/u/bOyBMK

Books2Read will automatically show you the best link for your region and preferred retailer. How handy is that?

๐ŸŽง A Note on Audiobooks

Audiobooks are coming! I don’t have any to share just yet, but when they arrive, I’ll make sure to shout it from the rooftops (or at least from this blog ๐Ÿ˜„). Make sure you’re subscribed to my newsletter so you’re the first to know!

I hope this makes it easier for you to find and enjoy my books in whatever way works best for you. Reading should be joyful and accessible, and I’m so grateful you’re here for the journey. ๐Ÿ’™

Happy reading,
L. L. Nelson ๐Ÿ‰
